PLANE CRAZY

PLANE CRAZY
The art of photographing aircraft
by Jon Davison

Plane Crazy is a new publishing project that looks into many of my shoots as a professional aviation (air-to-air) photographer. Over the years many people have suggested a book like this, so at last ... The content covers 80 different types of aircraft, some of which are no longer flying, so it’s a historic journey as well. The content looks at how the shoots were achieved with behind the scenes views plus the clients end use of the material, as well as offering some technical photographic hints. Photographed, written and produced by Jon Davison.

The layout at this stage is 288 pages, that is 19 x 16 page sections, in oversize A4 landscape format. Hard back with dust jacket. Plus on-line pdf delivery for Smart phones and tablets. The Foreword is by Jérôme Zbinden, Pilatus Aircraft, Switzerland.

The material can be offered as either (1) A 'package’ - photographed, designed and output to high res CMYK print ready files.
(2) As above but with completed books.
(3) As manuscript and high res images for publisher to produce.
