Wanaka Helicopters is Lake Wanaka’s premier

Lakes district and the World Heritage Mount
Aspiring and Fiordland National Parks including

They offer pilot training up to CPL plus
endorsements in an area that covers nearly
every possible flying scenario a pilot could
encounter. Other services include scenic tours throughout the alpine region, commercial
work, plus Lord of the Rings tours to the
many locations used in the motion picture
series. Chief Pilot Simon Spencer-Bower is
the only helicopter pilot to have won the
NZ Civil Aviation Flight Safety Award, and
currently holds the record for most hours
flown in an R22.
