The Method (Mac = Command. PC = Control. 'Co' for both. 1. If the layers panel is not visible, go; WINDOW - Show Layers 2. Right click to open the 'base.jpg' image, we will use this as the background. Just check that it is 7 x 11cms, RGB @ 250dpi. In case you are wondering, the edge effect was created with the Auto F/X plug-in 'Photographic Edges'. Check out their excellent products on their Auto FX website. ![]() 2 3. Turn on your rulers 'Co - R' and guides 'Co - :' Check that your rulers are in Centimeters, if not, double click a ruler to bring up the preferences. Change to Centimeters. Drag a guide from the left hand side ruler with the Move (V) tool and centre it on the 3.5cm mark. This will be your centreline for all your elements ![]() 3 4. Open the 'snake.jpg' and with your Move Tool (V) drag this onto your background. 5. Adjust the snake size to appoximate below. Change the opacity of this layer to 6%. You should now see this (below right).
![]() 4 & 5 6. Open the 'panorama.jpg' image and place as per the main image (top). 7. Reduce the opacity of this to 60% (below). ![]() 6 7 8. Select your type tool (T) and type Port, at 85pts in a hand script, something like Edwardian Script, Mistral or similar. 9. Select the type and hit your Foreground colour. This brings up the Colour Picker, then choose 'Custom' . 9 10. This brings you to Custom Colours. Click 'Pantone process coated' from the drop down menu. Type in D5 85 -1C. This brings up a colour swatch instantly. Click okay. This now appears in your Tool Bar. 10 We are now going to run a Bevel & Emboss effect on the type layer. 11. Still on the type layer, go 'Layers - Layer Effects - Bevel & Emboss' 12. Set these attributes; Style - Inner Bevel. Depth - 630. Size - 10. Smooth. Direction Up. 12 You should now have an effect similar to this? I didn't bother doing a Drop Shadow on this, as I will use it on the 'Bibbulmun title instead. Sometimes effects can be too much.
